“Land Without Shadows” is a Coney Island documentary photography zine from Brooklyn-based Georgian photographer Dimitri Mais. The name originates from the Lenape tribe, the Native American inhabitants of the region who used to refer to the area as “Narrioch” which means “the land without shadows”. The zine contains photographs of Coney Island during the peak pandemic period which became a refuge for the photographer during Covid 19.
